Beer Week Hike & Tasmanian Blackwood Saison Tapping on Mount Sutro

Saturday, February 17 | 10:30am - 1pm

Tickets $25, Including Free Beer & Pizza at the end!

Sutro Stewards and REI invite you to attend a special SF Beer Week In-City Hike through the wilds of Mount Sutro, culminating in the Tapping of our locally sourced Tasmanian Blackwood Saison. Hike and discover some cultural history of the area and the abundant native plants local to this unique bioregion that many top brewers have used during our annual Beers Made By Walking event. We’ll also see where the special ingredient used in the Tasmanian Blackwood Saison was sourced as we reach the summit and head for the tasting. This beer was brewed specially for this event by Professional Brewer Ross Halligan from Southpaw BBQ and Home Brewer Craig Dawson who is also the Senior Program Advisor to the Sutro Stewards.

We will meet at the Woods Lot on Mount Sutro (free parking directions) and hike at a leisurely pace for roughly 1.5 hours along a segment of the newly opened Bay Area Ridge Trail.

Get your tickets now! www.sfBeerWeekHike.eventbrite.com

Hike tickets will entitle you to a free beer and slice of pizza when we arrive at the Aldea Center around 12 Noon.

All proceeds benefit Sutro Stewards, a project of the San Francisco Parks Alliance, a 501(c)3 California non-profit public benefit corporation.

This event will be conducted rain or shine, but in the event of high winds the hiking portion will be canceled and we will meet at the Aldea Center for beer and pizza at 12 Noon.
