Yarrow in my Neighborhood

Through our virtual programming series, Nature in your Neighborhood, we challenged volunteers to go out into their neighborhoods or backyards to see what plants sparked their interest. Whether plants are native or non native, we can all appreciate a connection to nature and the curiosity that it can spark!

One plant that is growing in my neighbourhood is common Yarrow, which in latin is Achillea millefolium. Common Yarrow originated in Asia a long time ago but it has spread throughout Europe and America. Common Yarrow attracts butterflies, bees and other insects making it common in many gardens.
